The materials for the house are a combination of purchased, wholesale and donated items.
The lumber for the home as well as siding and roofing will be purchased through North Main Lumber in Wellsville in order to support local businesses and convenience when materials are needed on short notice. Another local hardware store that will be utilized is Tinkertown Supply in Alfred Station, NY.
The solar panels and racking for the home have been donated by a local solar company out of Buffalo, NY named Solar Liberty. The panel provided is a Renesola 260W and the racking is Dynoraxx which is also the sister company to Solar Liberty.
The insulation that is being used in the walls and the roof will be donated by Owens Corning and provided through their office in Delmar, NY. The insulation is R19 UF insulation with a target R-value for the home around 24.
